RE: Modern Denver & Intermountain RR Caboose
Technically the railroad exists and is in the ORG, but it's a "paper" railroad. It does own one piece of equipment - a former D&RGW caboose (#1521). The actual caboose has not been repainted yet, so the reskin above is the "prototype" and was created at the request of the D&IM's President.About the historical D&IM:The old D&IM which became part of the Denver Tramway in the 1920s. They operated electric passenger service until 1950 and electric freight until 1953. The track still exists from the edge of downtown Denver to 6th Ave in Lakewood and is partially used by the Platte Valley Trolley (www.denvertrolley.org) on a once a day trip to near Sheridan Blvd. The R-O-W will become the 13th Ave. Light Rail Corridor for RTD.Ron

RE: Modern Denver & Intermountain RR Caboose
Just a wild hunch, but I would look somewhere between Denver and the Rocky Mountains...

Hehehehe couldn't resist! The link that Ron included was interesting. A trolley line that owns a caboose? Now that's funny!

RE: Modern Denver & Intermountain RR Caboose
The Platte Valley Trolley does not own the caboose, but uses some of the original D&IM right of way.Just to add more confusion, the webmaster for the Platte Valley Trolley website, http://www.denvertrolley.org/, is also the owner of the modern D&IM and its caboose.Ron
