Hi,Can someone please tell me which of the two files BMP or TGA
control the transparency functions of MSTS or is it both? The reason I am asking is that I had manipulated the files
in PhotoImpact 6.0 and they looked good then save them and
when I applied them to the model it showed the chain and wheels
as no longer surrounded by a transparent area but blocks of
white and black. So I am stuck at this point....help.Thx Controll

RE: Transparency

It's the TGA file. That file type has an extra channel called an "alpha channel" that controls the transparency. You do of course need a graphics editor that can handle channels, otherwise you'll run into trouble.
