A Mr. John Milligan uploaded some backdrops to the file section. I tried them out and its a good Idea and saves quite a few polys. I wish someone would upload a few distant towns and other such distant objects. Photo's on the same concept would be great if workable. Is it workable? I just got TS Modeler I might try it.

RE: Docklands

Easy to do. Get busy with the digital camera. With some planning, you could map them in strips on a 512 tga texture with the alpha channel set to cut out the skyline and get four good looking backdrops on one texture file. You can extrude a one poly part for them as well. (They only have to be visible from one side.)SRV Ron

RE: Docklands

I think this site might have some in the file library...uktrainsim.com also has some different backdrops.
An idea that some route modellers should use to save MB's....when detail is not needed.
BTW......a big thank you to everyone that spends time designing things for us to enjoy.
