RE: Route object

To copy objects.... Copy the objects *.S and *.SD files from the SHAPES folder Copy the textures you need from TEXTURES folder. Some objects also have textures in the NIGHT and SNOW subfolders. Foliage will have textures in pretty much all the subfolders. Copy the objects entry in the *.REF file and paste it into your routes file.To change colours.... d/l TGATOOLS, open the textures, and repaint them. When you're done resave them as .ACE files. To create your own objects... Obtain a model package that supports MSTS (TSM, 3DCanvas, Gmax) and a paint program like PSP7. Build away. Now this is the simplified version. You'll find it can be awkward sometimes figuring out which texture is used by the shape. If you can't suss it, use ffeditc_unicode.exe in the UTILS folder (or d/l the Shape File Manager) to uncompress the shape. You can then search through the file to see which textures it uses. This procedure is a bit longwinded sometimes so be patient and stick with it. Have fun.
