The easiest way is to use the arrow keys. In Route Editor:- press F2 ( Select ) - hover over the building until it turns red, then click on the building - press F4 ( Rotate ) - use the left and right arrow keys ( 4 and 6 ) on the number pad to rotate the building without it tilting.I hope this helps. >How can i rotate a building a certain amount of degrees or >not having the building tilt i want it to stay flat? Once you rotate the building to where you want, hit the "N" key and it'll level itself out.Hope that helpsDon

RE: Rotation of buildings
Actually the "N" key does not level out the selected item. What it does is make it normal to the surface it is sitting on. In this case, normal is the geometric/mathmatical term for perpendicular. Place something on an embankment with a decent slope and then try the N key thing. Least wise, I have seen things wind up perpendicular to sloped surfaces when the N key is used.Making the selected object plumb and level is the result when the surface is level, but is not the general case.David Beach.Palouse & LewistonRoute Building 1% Completed Route Mapping 10% Completed

RE: Rotation of buildings
I think the CTRL key needs to be simultaneously depressed when doing the fourth step listed in Msg #1 in order to prevent the object from becoming tilted.

RE: Rotation of buildings
Hi! Actually, there is no difference between 4/6 and CTRL+4/6. I was looking for the key-table for RE but couldn't find one. I would like to know what are the key combinations for small rotations. END key sometimes helps but the result is unpredictable, sometimes END+8 corresponds to 6 and END+4 to 4, but not allways ... I also can't understand why the rotation axes do not follow the object but remain N/S and E/W. The vertical axis is an exeption, it is allways vertical regardless how the object is rotated (dvs 4/6 keys allways rotate the object in the horizontal plane). A lot of bugs/features at one place Cheers, Mark

RE: Rotation of buildings
Thank you, you're right: I checked it out on my RE only to now realize that there's no difference between 4/6 and CTRL+ 4/6. And, I was recently puzzled by what the End key seemed to be doing.

RE: Rotation of buildings
Make certain the camera view in the RE is parallel to the horizion or you can get this unwanted tilt. If that happens, you can reset rotation and try again.SRV Ron
