You guys ever notice there is hardley ever a fuss down here...
maybe its because those other guys know that if no new routes were made they wouldnt have any new places to run their custom made and painted
trains....

Maybe its because we get the "die-hards" in here. It takes a certain person to be able to stick with the route editor. Gee, it almost sounds like women in way. The people that work on routes have been around a while and have seen the full aspect of the game from its beginings. I would be willing to say that we are the more mature (even older) ones of the group. We are a great group of people with extraordinary patience. Lets keep on chuggin guys (and gals)!! Happy Rails to all!!NickArchived thread - Read only Previous Topic | Next Topic – image 6 Archived thread - Read only Previous Topic | Next Topic – image 7

Second that! Those fighting and ravaging in the other forums don't have the patience it takes to do something with RE.

You see a great deal of sharing, praising, asking for help, and, in general, total strangers helping each other. There is constructive criticism and suggestions for improvement, but, thankfully so far, none of the public inmature name calling and flaming being done by a few with too much time on their hands.SRV Ron

Interesting point, Nick. You may be onto something. Besides, you have to be prety thick-skinned if you can survuve the route editor.Nick

Other forums, sure, there are the Traction, Sound, and Cab View forums, all of which seem pretty well tempered. I almost never go into the general MSTS forum so it took a long time to figure out what all the fuss was about. I kinda see it like this, who's got time for a pissing-contest when you're battling knee-deep in gore with the route editor? John

RE: No crying down here in the Route Design Forum

After dealing with an ex-wife, 2 stepsons, my 3 kids, work, and the ever fussy editor, some yutz with a critical attitude here does not really impress me. I have bigger things on my mind. I do enjoy all the help and info that is shared here, makes building a route a lot easier, and just want to say thank you to all route- builders who share info. One tid-bit of info, I use topozone a lot for my route. There is good info there and the coordinates can be set up to meld perfectly with train-sim. Other map sites, that I have found, do not have that ability.
Mike
