I notice there are many track sections available. Why don't we compile a list of the abbreviations used to name the track (and road sections) The thumbnails are not much help. This would be a big help for all.For example:A2t1500r5d.s = A 2 track, 1500 ft radius, 5 degree section of track.In other words:
A=?
t=track
r=radius
d=degrees
etc...Any volunteers?

Amen. Those letters and numbers don't tell you much. A bigger picture would be nice too.

Is the '1500' feet or meters? Which dimensions are feet, meters?

RE: Documentation Idea

I catalogued all the single-track pieces (A1t) so I could more easily lay track. It took hours of work and the list is not complete enough to do anyone else much good. I did learn what most of the code means, and you are on the right track (pun). Switches are easy to spot because they end in Lft or Rgt. Manual switches end in Mnl. Here is an example of a switch: A1tPnt10dLftMnl.s. Straight and curved pieces are followed on the list by similar pieces laid in tunnels. For example: A1t50mstrt.s (short straight section) is followed on the list by: A1t50mstrtRndTun.s, which is the same short straight section, but this one is in a round tunnel. The next piece is: A1t50mstrtTun.s, once again the same short straight section, only this time it is in a rectangular tunnel. This pattern continues on. A2t track is the same as A1t track except there are two lines together. A3t is 3 tracks together (makes laying switch yards easier).
There are some odd pieces: A1tXover5d.s and A1tXover2_5d.s are both crossovers, A1tYPnt10d.s and A1tYPnt10dMnl.s are both “Y’s” (wye).
Hope this helps.
