RE: Did someone say subway?

As far as track stations and structure. I have the above section of the State Street Subway finished, and the Loop Elevated from Clinton, around to Merchandise Mart, (Junction 12 on the southeast). As far as other scenery, only the corner of Lake and Wells (5th).-Chris

RE: Did someone say subway?

If you're doing current CTA trains, they all have a whistle instead of a horn these days. It sounds remarkably close to the scotsman's whistle, so you could use that and it would be perfectly authentic. I dunno if it's an electronic synthesizer or some kind of air powered whistle, but the first time I heard a 2000 series car go "peep peep!" like a European steam loco, I just about wet myself laughing.
Looking perfect, Chris, I haven't been down there in a few years, but I transferred at that station quite a few times over the years and recognized it instantly. Rather be there than waiting for a bus up on the street tonight, first week of spring and it's snowing again here. 20 degrees with wind chill factor about zero. Happy vernal equinox, wish I was in Florida. Well, the trainwatching is better here, anyway.
