Jan-08-02, 09:22 PM (EDT) 1. "RE: signals" LAST EDITED ON Jan-08-02 AT 09:24 PM (EST)Copy the Sigfig.dat and sigscr.dat files from Marias. That doesn't work completely, because the gantry signals in the original have missing shape data, so if you're feeling adventurous you could try the new Ezstuff4 with the All_Stuff.ref and missing shapes package beta version. http://www.train-sim.com/dcforum/User_files/3c3243ea7062208e.zip
I'm currently using this on the PO&N5, and altho some of the Japanese signals still don't work, all the BNSF ones do. The JP gantries look more authentic for regular signal gantries, altho positioning the signal heads just right is a bit of a task.Message Areas - "signals" – image 1
BNSF Interval gantry mount, BNSF Interlocking gantry mount with the second head turned on and linked, and if I recall that's JP1doublegantry for the structure itself. What's the Chief doing here, they get lost? Must be heading for the Rio Grande Southern Division for a fantrip. Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

Jan-09-02, 06:14 PM (EDT) 2. "RE: signals" Chris, which set of signals from MP are you looking for? The BNSF originals and the SearchLights V2.2 are both included, in their entirety, in the Searchlights package that you can download. If you want the ones from MP3, which includes everything in the other two, plus the scripts and shapes used in MP3, it is a little more work, but not that much.As suggested, copy the SIGSCR.DAT and SIGCFG.DAT files from the root directory to the directory for your route. From the SHAPES file in Marias3, copy all the .s and .sd files that begin with SL (SL*.s, SL*.sd), all the .s and .sd files that begin with MP (MP*.s, MP*.sd), plus DumyMast.s and .sd, and Cndlvrsigbr.s and .sd to the SHAPES directory on your route. The original 3 light signals all start with US2BSIGNAL*.s and .sd, with one exception, that being the US2BSigDouble.s and .sd. If you didn't get those copied with the utility, make sure you copy them manually.Make sure signalte.ace is in your TEXTURES directory and if not, copy it from Marias3, and you should be all set.
