Dear Forum Members,I have been silent in the forum for an awfully long time and wanted to let you know how things stand. Not long after Hamilton Norfolk v1 was released (just before Easter) I had a major accident and spent a couple of months in hospital. I am getting back fairly close to full time work, and that has been my major priority. I have done almost nothing to HN in the meantime and it is very unlikely I will be able to in the next little while. I am sharing all this with you only so that you are in the picture. I will get back to it one day, but just at the moment it is not possible. The above all said, I am pleased to announce that shortly there will be v1.1 available. Steve Davis has optimized the route for some switching activities. The v1.1 update will shortly be posted by him at www.skylinecomputing.com, www.avsim.com and www.train-sim.com. He will also be creating SwitchList Generator Templates for this route, so SwitchList Generator users can create endless activities for the route. These templates will be freeware and will be posted at www.skylinecomputing.com. He will also use the SwitchList Generator program to create "standard" (scripted) activities for the route which will also be available as freeware, so those who don't have SwitchList Generator can enjoy those activities. That's all for now, and I really appreciate all the folks who have downloaded and use HN. RE: Announcement about Hamilton Norfolk

Without having an exhaustive look, it is essentially v1 , but with the siding markers extended/repositioned and a couple of switches changed from automatic to manual. I am no activity guru, but apparently these will really assist in switching. We will have to wait to see what the readme says from Steve!David

RE: Announcement about Hamilton Norfolk

This is Jon. I would like to know about the route going all the way to Grafton,WV because that's what I have heard a long time ago when the route was being built. Please reply back to me and let me know when you think the route will be available to go to Grafton,WV. Thanks a lot.

RE: Announcement about Hamilton Norfolk

Hi Jon,Originally the extension to Grafton would have happened about six months after release of v1. However, with the accident, etc. it has been put on indefinite hold. I had got as far as Ellenboro, WV, but in all honesty I cannot put an estimate now on when the route would get to Grafton. Track is laid as far as just before Clarksburg, thank goodness. Another kicker is that I would probably wait until MSTS2 was released anyway, just to work out how much of the current route was useable and how easy/difficult/transferable is would be to route build in the new version.Hope that helps and sorry that I can't promise when HN gets to Grafton.David
