Hello, the Route Editor will not let me pick the right place for the start of the route I wanted to start on. I live in Reno, Nevada and wanted to start working on the Union Pacific route that goes over Donner Summit. The starting point for the route was going to be:Lat. 39deg. 30min Log. -119deg. 40minOnce I zoom in, there's no way to get there. Is there a way to expand the route editor? Or are we limited to only working on the geographic areas that MSTS came with? Thanks, Lonnie KRNO

RE: Does anyone know how to expand the route editor?
You need to supply the markers in decimal degrees. There is a neat utility which will do this for UK locations (by converting the Ordnance Survey grid reference) but I don't know of a similar tool for the US. I'm sure something exists though.

RE: Does anyone know how to expand the route editor?
Choosing tiles over the region boundary is easy. First, mark your starting point by selecting a few tiles at a location within the intended route using the zoom region function. You dont have to, but the little web of black lines helps you find your spot. Then get rid of the small zoom region map and go to the zoom view of North America. Do not zoom region anymore! instead zoom window in, until you reach the desired magnification, using the black lines and lat/long to help find your spot, because the program stops drawing the map at this point. Once you find your spot at a big enough zoom, you should be able to choose tiles with no further difficulty. I will post this to both threads so you're sure to get it. Good Luck.
