RE: Get thee over to Train Artisan now...

Tried out the Southern 4-6-2 this morning; now late for the office! This is a dazzling locomotive ... maybe my favorite TA release yet, and I'm not really big on steam. Great Northern ran Pacifics, too, didn't they (broad hint to reskinners)?

Is it possible to get the set without the christmas lights?

RE: Get thee over to Train Artisan now...

Great Northern did have Pacifics, but none of the USRA variety. I'm pretty sure there already is a GN-reskinned version of John Fowlis' SP Pacific in the file library. That TA Pacific sure looks nice though. Guess I'll have to make a donation and join the club!By the way, if anyone out there is interested in doing a real GN Pacific, I have drawings of the H-5 and H-6 classes that I'd be willing to copy or scan and send. I'd do one myself (and might still do one if there are no takers), but I have my hands full with the Northern Pacific W-3 Mikado project right now.

Right you are! I forgot about gn4-6-2, Jasper Burmester's repaint of the Fowlis and Lee Pacific; "not very accurate," according to Jasper's disclaimer.
