Jul-28-01, 11:17 PM (EDT) "3D Canvas Beta 4.2...." READ THIS...PLEASE...how in the world do you export in .s?? all i see in help files are that it can only be done in Pro!! what good is this 'demo' (well, i assume thats what this beta is out here for) if i cant determine if i can use this program or not for what i need in MSTS and other possible things!?!?! I can't say whether or not it works with animated parts (or how to correctly link them) as i haven't gotten that far yet, but for me the upgrade was worth the $50. Also, since the .s export IS a SUPPORTED feature now, so i guess if it doesn't work right, we can ask him to fix it ! Jul-29-01, 04:03 PM (EDT) 5. "RE: 3D Canvas Beta 4.2...." Ok, just put some boxes with cylinders under my baggage car, named 'em, and tried an export. IT DOES WORK! Sort of... The wheels didn't rotate, but when i thought about it (i didn't save the changes), i named the wheels wrong. The bogies moved how they were supposed to, so i can assume from there if i name the wheels right it will work ok. (its not the latest beta, ill that you that) the guy from Amabilis to look for it if i wanted to try 3D Canvas's export capabilities out...EDIT:i read that the export capability was removed from the free version for fear of it being used in the wrong way (figuires)...hhhmmm...oh well, guess im outta luck. oh well, that settles it for me, MSTS is getting moth-balled in favor of model railroading. i think i need something that exists in real life...
