I was practicing the SEICO Boxcar in TSM and was able to adjust the couplers to where they actually look like they are coupled together. But if I uncouple the cars and try to couple them back the couplers bounce off each other about a foot apart like there is a invisable "force field". Here is part of the wag file. Is there a particular variable or command that helps in the couplers to work both ways? I haven't "flipped" any numbers as of yet. Though the boxcar works well in MSTS, it's just I cannot couple them back together. .....................................................................Size ( 3m 4.5m 16.4m ) comment( 39.19t empty, 66.81t full ) Mass ( 66.81t ) WheelRadius ( 28in/2 ) InertiaTensor ( Box (3m 4.5m 16.4m) ) Coupling ( Type ( Automatic ) Spring ( Stiffness ( 1e6N/m 5e6N/m ) Damping ( 1e6N/m 1e6N/m ) Break ( 5.1e7N 5.1e7N ) r0 ( 20cm 30cm ) ..................................................................... RE: WAG setting for coupling
LAST EDITED ON Jun-29-02 AT 05:53 PM (EDT)
Hit Ctrl+ the plus sign on keypad(number pad) while in the game and check your bounding box of the cars, if they are real close together or overlap this problem arises.... BBedit will enable you to fix it ( available in library)

>Ha...OK. I'll give that a try. Thanks!! > Also whan you do try it! the couplers themselves should be outside of the bounding box length parameter... that should be length excluding the couplers.Best Regards, Julian (Fozzy The Bear)
