Dec-01-01, 03:33 PM (EDT) "Camera Unlock" I was recently dinking around with the camera unlock feature (ctrl + shift + 9) in the railside view near Cutbank. I don't know what I did or how I did it, but I got the #4 camera view to stay put at one spot. I then throttled up and let the train go down the track about a mile. The camera did not reposition itself and the train disappeared in the distance until the sound of the engines could no longer be heard. I then reversed and did a few passes by the camera in both directions. Once I got my view back on the loco, I tried it again, but could not get the camera to repeat the behavior. Was this just a glitch or is there some way to make the camera stay put in one spot at trackside? Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

Dec-01-01, 03:56 PM (EDT) 2. "RE: Camera Unlock" In my limited experiance, CTRL+SHFT+9, stays in position for each view, but still changes views.
I'd like to know how you did that. In the right place, it might make some good screenshots.
I'm going to watch this post.

Dec-01-01, 05:05 PM (EDT) 4. "RE: Camera Unlock" True, but with trackside view, the camera will still reposition itself automatically as the train moves. In this case, the camera didn't reposition itself after the train went by. Indefinitely. I'll keep trying to see if I can duplicate it. Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

Dec-01-01, 05:54 PM (EDT) 5. "RE: Camera Unlock" Right. The "4" key. With "ctrl+shft+9", it doesn't rotate, but it still moves with the train.
I'd like to sit and watch the whole train go by, and see it disappear into the wild blue. That would be neat.
