Sep-30-01, 06:52 PM (EDT) "WHAT NO LIGHTS?" Have you noticed that in any night scene the AI cars & trucks drive with NO lights on. Another KUJU booboo. Would be nice if someone would figure out a way to litem'up.
Any takers??
All cars and trucks must have "Night Vision".( pic's pretty
dark,gotta look close)
Cops don't care either ( upper left corner)

Sep-30-01, 08:54 PM (EDT) 2. "RE: WHAT NO LIGHTS?" I'm not sure, but Projectuion of lights from AI cars
might slow down FPS, so that might be the reason why KUJU
didn't make it that way. But they atelast could have made
lights more yellow or white at night.
On AI Trains, they should have done something about it.
It looks poor at night.

Sep-30-01, 09:42 PM (EDT) 3. "No Problem..." If you remap the cars using a TransBright for the lights, then you could get a reasonable simulation of headlights - better because there's little or no noticable hit to FPS (you're only loading a small TGA). All cars, trucks, etc. could share a common 32 x 32 TGA for this...Even do some tailights! Cheers!

Sep-30-01, 09:42 PM (EDT) 4. "RE: WHAT NO LIGHTS?" Guys, Guys, Guys...AI Trains have had lights for months now. Loco Physics 2 and 3 have updated light sets built into them. There is an additional file in the engines section done by yours truly ... called 'revlites.zip' that does lighting when the engines are facing backwards at the end of the train. And a readme to kinda help explain some things not light related. And you are right. It does look VERY nice to have that engine coming at ya wagging its ditch lights in the night...Ya just gotta snoop a bit and dig this stuff out, cause all the updates and new stuff bury it real quick.Stevealex Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top
