Aug-03-01, 06:03 AM (EST) "Northeast Corridor (NEC) Rescue Activity passenger comfort issue" Summary: After coupling with the disabled train in this activity, it is impossible(??) to finish the activity without exceeding the passenger comfort level, no matter how CAREFULLY you move the train.Question: Is this true or is there something I'm missing? If it's true, then is it a 'bug' or by design?
--------
Detail: After coupling with the disabled train and moving back out to the main line, the passenger comfort level figure would increase steadily even at constant velocity (under speed limit) on a straight. Later I discovered that some of the cars are coupled so close together that they are practically 'fused' together. So I thought that was the problem, and since in this activity the player is given more than enough time to complete, I stopped the train, uncoupled every car (I move the train forward a little after each car is uncoupled), and re-coupled all of them back together. After that the cars looked good with proper spacing in between. The problem still persists. Also, the "projected speed" is inaccurate whenever the train reaches about 50mph (I saw projected = 0 when the train was going at full throttle.) I wonder if that is related. Aug-13-01, 04:46 PM (EST) 1. "RE: Northeast Corridor (NEC) Rescue Activity passenger comfort issue" I have experienced the same problem, even switching the formation of the train before starting out so that the dead loco is at the front directly behind the rescue loco did not work. Maybe its possible just to uncouple the failed loco and leave it behind. Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top
