Ok all, listen up... I have no idea why there are suddenly so many polls and 'contests' to find a favourite route, but from what I have seen so far the categorisations have been innaccurate to say the least, and possibly divisive. Suddenly there are not one, but five polls posted, and still there are inaccuracies (since when was WJ-MKC a southern route??).May I suggest that in future, ideas for these sort of things be submitted to a moderator for approval, otherwise I can see more arguments breaking out. This is not meant to discourage healthy competition, but simply to prevent any backlash from missing or mis-labelled entries.Mr. Brooker, you have either a vivid imagination or a need to be noticed, I wonder which is true?CiaoSaxon Locomotive Works - "The difficult we do immediately; the impossible takes a little longer"http://www.zodiac-infosystems.co.uk/rail/bve

RE: Questions and Answers
Just an honest question. What does all of this hassle and effort and organisation and debating actually achieve? Either for route developers or users?Am I missing the point? Please fill me in DavidBVE in Glasgow: http://homepage.ntlworld.com/zerosignal/bve/

RE: Questions and Answers
Entertainment value? Sort of like 'Desert Island Discs' on R4, perhaps?Sorry Personally, my favourites change depending on mood - do I want a challenge or do I fancy a ride where you go like a bat out of hell? Nice quiet stopper or something more difficult like, er, an Aussie route full of hills and altered to stop at all stations. Lump along on an easy schedule with a semifast somewhere or put blisters on my fingertips with a stopper on a route with closely-spaced stations? Underground? Overground? Every route has many things to commend it, my favourite is simply what fits the mindset at the time.Do we debate these things or are the polls simply taken and disappear?Maybe I'll have a think and a vote each night this week, depending, .... Or is that too contentious?

>there are inaccuracies (since when was WJ-MKC a southern >route??). I agree there is too many polls. Some authors may get offended if nobody votes.About the WJ-MKC, its kind of a southern route. Its not northern as watford is just outside london
