The following is translated from Mackoys FAQ section near the end.
With all thats happened and he removed is link from his link section to crotrainz forum * => do you think he's *** or what. <= This might do more harm than good, you know he reads the English Bve forums, this part of this post has been edited. - Wulf *"Although he wants the vehicles data never exhibitedAuthor each person suffers troubles very much, and is creating many data of BVE. The direction of others is not asked just because there is nothing, and let's make it make personally as much as possible. Other authors will also be supported if creation is highly motivated. The data of BVE cannot be made comfortably. . "Huh????Jason

Jason,I think he means that he recognises the problems inherent in making freeware when people misunderstand its terms, and the fact that ultimately no-one can physically prevent material being modified if it is already on the user's HD... after all if it wasn't there at all they would never have enjoyed it in the first place. As for removing the link to CT, well he no doubt knew of its closure and did what any good webmaster should do - pruned off the dead links Ciao

>Not sure if this gives a perspective on things but some of my
thoughts follow (sorry if this end up sounding like something
a wise master would say to his students!)BVE is freely available provided those using it and add-ons
respect the creative efforts of those involved. There will be those that abuse the resources given to them,
this is human nature. However those who are 'dishonurable'
with intent are in the minority, and sometimes misuse occurs
thorugh ignorance. Those that have created original creative works,
have a right to have that work respected and given
proper 'honour'. Those that do not will not be given
the 'honour' and will become outcasts by thier own
attitudes and acts. Those with 'honours' in the community however do not
see themselves above others. A man of wisdom
will usally impart that knowledge
so that a community shall become enlightened. It may also be that the student shall become the
master, or the master the student depending on
nature of wisdom involved. The wise masters know
(perhaps more than others) of the limits of
thier arts..(Hmm Zen and the art of BVE Development --- anyone? )

Mr Mackoy yet?Alex

Well put Alex >BTW Wulf, Has anyone mentioned the ideas behind the 2MC to
>Mr Mackoy yet? 'Probably not' is the answer to that one, however his Keisei Chiba Line is a good contender if he wished to enter.... do you fancy dropping the idea on him, since it's yours to begin with? If he shows interest, that will be a great encouragement to him and others over there that the Western Bve Community is indeed fit and healthy, just suffers like any other group of people from the occasional misunderstanding or defensive action.
It is really not as serious as it might look sometimes, the developers that I know all WANT to keep working, but it has to give pleasure to all concerned, while that is true there will always be new routes & trains available. Often something may get released, driven a while then put on the mental back-burner, one day somebody comes along and says 'what about so-and-so route, is it still out there?' and suddenly we are off and running, sometimes (like the Heavy Coal) it results in permission to update/improve/add things and bring it back into the mainstream of popular packages.Whew I do waffle on don't I CiaoSaxon Locomotive Works - "The difficult we do immediately; the impossible takes a little longer"http://www.zodiac-infosystems.co.uk/rail/bve

someone who understands Jpanese langauge/culture make the approach.
(This may not you either, but you may have more confidence then
I do.)There is also the point that you are a wiser man than me when it
comes to dealing with any concerns Mackoy may have.Wulf, you have full permission to mention the 2MC to
Mr Mackoy, and resolve any 'issues' that may arise.
Just keep me informed..> If he shows interest, that will be a great

respected.>It is really not as serious as it might look sometimes, the

>Some 2MC entries might work like that as well It's also intended as the birthplace of things people
hadn't previously thought of like coasters, trolley
bus routes, and even the boat And of course some developments in respect of amusment
park rides may be seen shortly by those in the know Alex
