Some of you may have already seen this, but I haven't seen any mention of it here. http://railroadnews.net/news/4-2.htmlat the bottom of the page is: Column By Amtrak President David Gunn -- makes for interesting reading, his 8th month assesment of US passenger rail....my short version of what he says---> it sucks Matt --> who lives in a state that Amtrak doesn't serve (Theres also something about UP's model liscensing, and their new low emission engines, but no one around here really cares about that)

Amshack has had that scheme for two or three years at least now. Called Acela/Shamu/Phase V, whatever you want to call it NALW's Gen_Paks have two of them.

RE: Travel by canary rail !!!! - (New Amtrak paintschem
uhhhh, I think you may have misunderstood. The headline "Travel by canary rail !!!! - (New Amtrak paintschem)" was my attempt at a joke. Envisioning Amtrak units being solid yellow, in refrence to Dave Gunn's comment that Amtrak is the canary in the coal mine. But I also remember that at the top of that news page was a pic of some units painted in the phase --whatever-- grey blue scheme that you mentioned (of which I was not refering to) no biggie though, the point was just Gunn's thoughts on his railroad.
