OK, I live on a main BNSF line...
last several days, to a week... NO TRAFFIC a Local, goes down 40 miles, and that afternoon or evening, comes back, but no 'cross country' traffic...just one now and then.
Anyone else notice the same? or did they just shut the tracks by me down????

Ashiva,I can't say for sure as I don't have a source about that section of the road. I have seen this same thing on other lines when the track gang is working on a section of the track. They either divert all the trains over another line or they run trains at night when the track crew is not working. I wouldn't worry too much. I am sure they will be back in a few weeks although it may be longer if they are doing a lot of work. Newton Kid

I am on the BNSF main in Arizona and we still have around 100 trains a day. We are getting a lot of UP traffic that we never had before...
