Aug-26-01, 03:22 AM (EDT) "Train Town at Staples" Staples, in the $10 software shelves, has a little gem called Train Town. It has you running Lionel trains, with switching puzzles etc. It's a really cute little diversion. A flying saucer flew over the cattle pen and beamed some of them up!It will run on a Pentium 133, they say.I'm running at full detail on a K62-350, no 3d card.I couldn't download the ver. 1.1 patch which lets you save custom layouts. They are definitely pushing the upcoming $20 deluxe version on the web site.http://gregor.sierra.com/3dultra/traintown/Ed Light

Aug-26-01, 03:30 AM (EDT) 1. "RE: Train Town at Staples" I kind of didn't mention that it has MS Train Sim totally beat in some ways. With detail all the way up, there are people walking around, interacting in groups, doing work, driving fork lifts even. Clothes hung out to dry blow in the wind. Cars and trucks tour around. Animals are animated. In the stock pens, there's a dinosaur who can't seem to step out over the fence that's way beneath him! This was a 1999 game.Ed Light

Aug-26-01, 12:29 PM (EDT) 2. "RE: Train Town at Staples" I have Train Town 3D Ultra program. I downloaded the Train Town Deluxe Demo, tried it out, and I liked being able to create train layouts but the demo version didn't let me remove unwanted things such as stations, bumper tracks, and tracks with tunnels. I'm not sure if the full version of the program displays a blank layout and lets me place track and objects anywhere I want. Jeffrey. Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top
