Has anyone notice that a certain 14-year old person has been totally absent from the forums the last couple of days? Maybe I'm tempting fate, but it surely does make things more pleasant around here.

I found that story somewhat hard to believe, especially since, with every post, he was adding something to it. Also, in all the other forums, he was his usual self and made no mention of his mother. If I am wrong, my sympathies are with him.

calr, I also found alphabet kiddie's story hard to believe, as I posted, he seemed to be his usual self in the other forums... However, noting his absence perhaps he was talking the truth...But he seemed more dramatic than a daytime soap opera on TV.. LOL"Oh God I'll miss her so much!"That really seemed fake to me... or am I too skeptical like my dad is? He makes it hard to believe him.Remember all the steam stories abut him running steam loco's and his wife dieing because of the diesel breaking down ? Kinda brings to mind the story of the boy who cried wolf. When he does tell the truth most people are naturally not going to believe him because of past yarns.

I know maybe 3 words in french and mexican but umm yeah. well GTG search the fourms some more.

I had problems with the story myself, considering his past and all. We all seem to know he's just a kid who desperately wants attention, no matter what kind. I lost my father at age 15..and part of what makes me skeptical is that fact that he broadcast the information (what I would deem personal and too much to talk about) on a train-sim message board. Beyond all that, parents are not supposed to out-live their children. It's hard but it's fair, sad but it's true. Only thing to do if it IS true is to suck it up and drive on.

To qualify for a locomotive engineers certificate, which requires a great deal of studying, reading and writing, you will have to develop these skills so that you can successfully pass the writen examinations
that are part and parcel of all training programs!
