Mar-29-02, 01:48 PM (EDT) "A little town in the middle of everything!" I am proud to say that I live in East Lyme, Ct. about 10 mi. west of
New London/Groton (Submarine Capitol of the World) and about 50 mi. east of New Haven! I live about a 5 min. drive from a RR line which involves the following: Shoeline East (New Haven Heritage) AKA ConnDOTProvidence and Woschter (HOWEVER YOU SPELL IT) Frieght (Picture of a train featured in one of the early 2002 issues of TRAINS mag in Niantic, Ct. which is part of East Lyme.Amtrak's Twilight Shoreliner (have yet to see it)Amtrak's Acela Regional (i'm still waiting for the AEM-7...)AND VERY PROUD TO SAY!!!: Acela Express (Long live Amtrak!)I think that's all, MetroNorth only operates to New Haven.-JesseP.S. Anyone know whether Shoreline East uses the New Haven Genesis? Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

as Wusster - taking the pronounciation of Pussy-willow.
when we first moved here from up-state New York, we thought it to be pronounced as war-chester or maybe like that great steak sauce. Needless to say we were quickly corrected!Message Areas - "A little town in the middle of everything!" – image 1 Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top
